I am attending the FACE 2018 convention at the historic Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables, Florida this week. Attendees include figurative artists from all over the United States, Europe, Russia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The opening presentation was by New York artist Daniel Sprick. He presented a slide show of his artwork and spoke about how he enjoys studio painting, plein air, and impromptu painting in both the cityscapes of New York and in nature.

Following his presentation I attended a cocktail party which featured art supply and service companies from around the country. Tomorrow promises to be a busy day.
